Our in-house draughtsperson can turn your ideas into a house design you love

At Truestyle Homes our team is complemented by an in-house licensed draughtsperson, experienced in the building industry, who provides draughting services for clients that don't yet have plans. They'll work closely with you to get your ideas out of your head and onto paper in a way that's practical and meets your needs.

Having a draughtsperson in-house makes for a streamlined and stress-free design phase and makes it easier for our custom home builders to work on your project. If any modifications are required during the build, these can be readily accommodated.

Step 1: We'll arrange a free on-site consultation with you so we can discuss special site requirements and take note of anything unusual we need to be aware of during the build. During the initial site visit, we can help confirm the position of your home with regards to the sun, site access, and ideas that will work for your location, budget and the style of home you are considering.

Step 2: After the site visit, a concept plan is confirmed. Once approved, our draughtsperson can continue with the final drawings and specifications and prepare your plans ready for building consent. At this stage, we’ll also liaise with other involved parties such as engineers.

Use our spec plans as they are for your new build or as a starting point for customisation

Building a new home is an exciting but it can be overwhelming. The design phase is often cited by new homeowners as one of the most stressful stages as there are so many decision to consider and get right.

To make this part of the process easier, Truestyle Homes has pre-existing spec plans you can use. Our spec plans showcase a broad selection so there is truly something for everyone. You are sure to find a spec plan that ticks all the boxes and fulfils your requirement in terms of layout, style and budget or will do with minor modifications.

By using a spec plan you can save money and time. You don’t have to fork out additional money for an architect if you don’t want to as each house has been professionally designed. That fact that each plan is pre-approved also means you can start building straight away.

Depending on your requirements, you can use our spec plans in one of two ways.

Use our spec plans exactly as they are - If you don’t have any set ideas for your new home, you can choose from an already complete series of plans. Simply select your favourite design and our residential construction experts will use that plan in its entirety to build your new home.

Use our spec plans as a starting point - Alternatively, you may have a whole laundry list of ideas for your new home but want something to give you a head start. If this is the case, then browse our designs and use one, or a combination of different designs, as your starting point or to gain inspiration. Once you know what you want, our in-house draughtsperson will modify the plans and draw up a house design which is then be draughted into a custom home plan.

A clear building process means you know what is happening at every step

The building process starts with a chat either at our office or at your site to discuss your ideas or to look at your existing plans. Once initial plans are drawn up, we'll provide a base price per square metre which is modified as alterations, changes and upgrades are made.

During the build, we'll handle all aspects, including dealing with any council consents, earthworks and required subcontractors. All you need to do is be on hand to make any decisions if changes need to be made along the way and enjoy watching your dream home come to life.
